Lawrence and Lincoln Street - Robert Chun

on the busy street corner

stands the red brick house

  some

    blue shingles on the top

sitting up there like an navy bowler hat

A massive car stereo system

Rattles the dusty windows

The vinyl albums shake

Leaning out of their faded cover

A cracked driveway leading to

a yellow, rusty garage door

which my Grandma sometimes wipes down

with a very old cloth

Virgin Mary stands still

one and a half feet tall

in a garden of green

her stone hands in eternal prayer

cars fly by, horns honk, lives pass

years walk down the sidewalk

without glancing at

the still brick house
